Fernanda Barrera
Research Analyst
Fernanda joined the team as a Research Analyst in June 2023. Her career focuses on the research and practice of international cultural relations and cultural/public diplomacy. She has published several articles in magazines such as Foreign Affairs Latinoamérica and Nierika.
Prior to ABA, Fernanda was a Program Officer for the Fulbright Commission in Mexico for over two years, where she managed the Graduate Degree Program. She has also collaborated with institutions such as the Spanish Cultural Center in Mexico and the University of California representation in Mexico as a communications intern and a researcher, respectively.
Fernanda holds a BA in International Relations from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). She currently lives in Berlin with her husband and cat where she will pursue a master’s degree in World Heritage Studies.
