Our latest ABA Executive Benchmark explored HR policies and workplace morale at arts and cultural organizations.
Highlights from the survey include:
Development and marketing teams experience the highest levels of turnover, which is consistent with data collected last year. Organizations also continued to see higher attrition among mid-level associates and coordinators.
Most organizations offer 1-3 days a week of remote work, with about half maintaining a fixed-day structure for hybrid schedules.
Morale is moderate across participation arts and cultural organizations. In contrast to last year, when marketing and development were seeing lowest levels of morale, technical/production teams are reporting lower morale this year.
Increased communication and transparency remains a widely successful tactic for supporting staff wellbeing.
