Our latest ABA Executive Benchmark asked arts and cultural leaders about the state of their most recent season or year-to-date sales, including single tickets, subscription and memberships, and group sales.
Highlights from the survey include:
A majority of performance-based respondents are averaging under 80% house sold capacity, though for many this is an increase from last year.
Single ticket and subscription sales are mostly up from last year, with single tickets seeing the higher increases of the two.
Besides ticket and subscription sales, the top three sources of earned income are paid classes, concessions, and rental events.
Most arts and cultural leaders foresee steady or higher single ticket and subscription sales for next year/season, but are less optimistic about group sales.
