The Advisory Board for the Arts surveyed leaders at arts organizations about their efforts in digital, with a focus on how they are earning revenue via digital while their doors are shut.
Findings include:
70% of arts organizations are generating revenue from digital - mostly from selling digital tickets and soliciting voluntary donations connected to content.
Orgs are having the most success monetizing content on their own website, their YouTube channels, Vimeo, and Facebook.
Content created specifically for digital is by far the most successful digital revenue generator.
