With the start of September, arts organizations are re-centering themselves and launching new seasons once again. To provide a check-in during these beginning stages, our recent Arts Executive Poll surveyed leaders of arts organizations about the prevailing mood among staff as well as ways that leaders are keeping teams motivated amidst the uncertainty of the pandemic.

Compared to March of 2021, arts organization leaders are generally less optimistic and more overwhelmed, but teams are still determined with their work.
Although the resistance of the pandemic has caused frustration, leaders have employed many management methods to keep teams determined and motivated. Most organizations are encouraging work-life balance and being accommodating to remote work schedules. In addition, leaders find great importance in keeping constant communication with staff about the organization's status and strategic plan.
