Our latest ABA Executive Benchmark explored the state of art and cultural organizations’ institutional fundraising, including government and foundation support.
Highlights from the survey include:
For most organizations, government support represents 20% or less of overall contributed income, and is predicted to remain steady or decrease by most arts and cultural leaders.
Federal and state governments are the most common funders of arts and cultural institutions; for city contributions, grants are the most widely used funding apparatus.
Similarly to government support, foundation support accounts for under 20% of contributed income at a majority of organizations and is mostly predicted to remain the same or decrease next year.
