As indoor mask mandates and vaccine requirements continue to be lifted across the globe as governments prepare for the next phase of living with COVID-19 arts organizations are wondering how these changes will impact in-person visitor and staff returns. Our latest Arts Executive Poll asked arts leaders to benchmark themselves on COVID-19 policies for administrative staff, audiences/visitors, and artists, as well as other implemented safety measures.
Highlights from the survey include:
Over half of arts organizations require staff vaccination (including the booster) to work in-person, but masks are generally not required anymore in the workplace, especially when away from group settings.
Vaccination requirements are much more lenient for audiences/visitors, but over half of arts organizations still have stricter safety protocols than what their local government requires.
Vaccination and safety requirements are generally the same for artists and administrative staff, although artists have to perform more consistent COVID-19 testing.
